
JONELL JOSHUA is an Author, Illustrator and Teaching Artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Her passion for drawing has deep roots stemming from a young age, inspired by her mother’s artwork, familial roots in New York and adolescence spent in the heart of South Jersey and Savannah, Georgia.​

Her debut illustrated memoir, How Do I Draw These Memories?, released in Spring 2024. Since the release of her memoir, Jonell has facilitated storytelling workshops and engaged with the public on her memoir and bookmaking process nationwide, including for the National Council of Teachers of English, San Diego Comic Con and the Brooklyn Public Library.
Jonell has been featured in People Magazine, Print Magazine, The Washington Post, and was a selected winner of American Illustration’s International Motion Art Awards.
